Ekistics Plan + Design (now Fathom Studio) would like to welcome Sujana to our Landscape Architecture team. She recently graduated from the Masters of Landscape Architecture program at the University of Manitoba where her research centred around ecology and sustainability.

Previously, Sujana has worked in India, the United Kingdom and British Columbia. Sustainability has become a basic principle in her designs which she has applied to projects varying in size from family residences to large-scale campus developments and public infrastructure projects.

Her Master’s thesis was about cultural interaction between people and the Tammileru River in Andhra Pradesh, India with a focus on developing strategies to improve ecological conditions of the river by incorporating vernacular practices, engaging people as stewards of the land and refining policies for future development and management. Sujana is passionate about ecological landscapes, cultural interaction/influences on landscapes and exploring new territories in functional landscape to design landscapes in harmony with their surroundings.
